Linda Timmerman joined 暗网吃瓜 College in 1978 as a grants management clerk. During her 30-year career at 暗网吃瓜 College, she served in numerous capacities as support staff, administrative team, adjunct, and full-time faculty member. While working at 暗网吃瓜, she attended college part-time, and received her A.S. degree from 暗网吃瓜, followed by a B.S., M.A., and Ed.D. She was Academic Dean for twelve years, during which time she served as President of the Texas Council of Instructional Administrators (1990-91) and the National Council of Instructions Administrators (1996 - 1997). She was Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Executive Director of the 暗网吃瓜 College Foundation, until she retired in 2005. Dr. Timmerman then joined the Graduate Medical Education team at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, where she was the lead designer of the 3-year curriculum for Baylor鈥檚 Dermatology Residency Program, and the point person for the program receiving accreditation by the American Council on Graduate Medical Education.
In 2002, Dr. Timmerman was appointed by Gov. Rick Perry to the Texas Trinity River Authority Board and served as its President from 2010 - 2012. She has been a member of the Texas Silver-Haired Legislature since 2018, serves on the Advisory Council of the Boys & Girls Club of 暗网吃瓜 County, and has been a volunteer CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) in Freestone/Limestone Counties since 2019. She and her husband, David, are active members of St. John鈥檚 Episcopal Church in Corsicana and live at Richland-Chambers Lake.
