Three Steps to Apply for Financial Aid

Applying for financial aid at 做厙勛圖 College is your first step toward making college accessible and affordable. Follow the clearly outlined steps - from creating your Federal Student Aid Identification (FSA ID) to completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA簧) - to apply for grants, scholarships, loans, or work-study. This page is organized to guide both students and parents through the process efficiently.

Step 1. Apply for FSA ID

The FSA ID serves as your identifier to let you access your personal information in various U.S. Department of Education systems. Its like the personal identification number you receive from your bank that enables you to access your account. Because your FSA ID serves as your electronic signature, you should not give it to anyone.

If you are a dependent student, at least one of your parents will need an FSA ID to electronically sign your   on the web. If you are a married independent student, your spouse will also need an FSA ID to electronically sign your FAFSA簧.

Step 2. Gather Needed Documents

You and your parents, if applicable, should have the following records available to help you answer questions on the :

  • Your Social Security card

  • Your Drivers License

  • Your Permanent Resident Receipt Card (if applicable)

  • Your W-2 forms and other records of money earned

  • Your income tax return

  • Records of veterans benefits

  • Records of taxable earnings from Federal Work-Study or other need-based work programs

  • Records of student grants, scholarships, and fellowship aid, including AmeriCorps awards that were included in your or your parents Adjusted Gross Income (AGI).

  • Current stocks, bonds, and other investment records

  • Current business and farm records

  • Current bank statements

Dependent students should have all of the records listed above from their parents, except for their drivers licenses.

You may still submit your FAFSA簧 if you do not have all of the information required, but your FAFSA簧 must be complete prior to you being awarded any financial aid package. Additionally, you may be required to provide the Financial Aid Office a copy of such documents.

Step 3. Fill Out the FAFSA簧

If you have completed steps one (1) and two (2), you have applied for an FSA ID and have gathered a number of documents that will help you complete the FAFSA簧. Remember, completing the and submitting a FAFSA簧 is FREE!! In fact, charging applicants a fee for completing and/or submitting the FAFSA簧 is prohibited by law.

  • Entering Summer Semester Apply for aid by March 1
