    The team that supports technology services for students, faculty, and staff at 暗网吃瓜 College.

The role of the Information Technology (IT) Department is to provide 暗网吃瓜 College with comprehensive services and support to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology solutions for students, faculty, and staff. Our dedicated team works to maintain campus systems, enhance user experiences, and support academic and administrative functions.  Key areas of services we provide:

Network Services

The IT Department manages 暗网吃瓜 College's network infrastructure. This includes wired and wireless systems, servers, and hardware that connect all 暗网吃瓜 College locations.

Our work ensures:

  • Seamless access to internal systems such as shared devices, Colleague, and Oracle

  • Reliable high-speed internet access

  • Campus-wide communication support

 

The team is also responsible for:

  • Maintaining security protocols

  • Monitoring network performance

  • Troubleshooting connectivity issues

  • Upgrading infrastructure to meet changing needs

 

Desktop and Laptop Support

We provide technical assistance for college-owned desktops, laptops, and peripherals used by faculty and staff.

Services include

  • Hardware troubleshooting

  • Software installation

  • System updates

  • Repairs to ensure reliable performance

 

Our team also offers guidance on

  • Best practices for maintaining devices

  • Securing data

 

Staff and Student Email

The IT Department manages email services for all 暗网吃瓜 College students and employees.

Our team is responsible for:

  • Setting up new accounts

  • Troubleshooting access issues

  • Keeping email systems secure and accessible on web and mobile platforms.

 

Support services include:

  • Password resets

  • Spam filtering

  • Help with email client configuration

 

IT Strategic Planning

The IT Department works with college leadership to create long-term technology strategies that support 暗网吃瓜 College's academic and operational goals.

This work includes:

  • Evaluating emerging technologies

  • Planning and scheduling system upgrades

  • Ensuring IT resources align with the College's mission of excellence in education

 

Technical Software Support

The IT Department provides support for all 暗网吃瓜 College software systems. We help users with:

  • Account setup and access

  • System navigation

  • System administration

  • Troubleshooting issues

 

When needed, we also coordinate with third-party vendors to resolve complex problems and keep critical systems running smoothly.

Supported software systems include (but are not limited to):

  • WEPA Printing (Wireless Everywhere Print Anywhere)

  • Ellucian Colleague

  • Oracle

  • Canvas

  • Watchdog Alert

 

Scheduled Maintenance

Every Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (except during peak times), the Information Technology Department performs regular system maintenance.

This work helps ensure the security and reliable performance of campus technology.

During maintenance, some services may be temporarily unavailable. The department strives to minimize disruptions and communicates updates in advance.
