Jasmine Garcia-Saunders, Class of 2017
Jasmine Garcia-Saunders is a native of Corsicana and 暗网吃瓜 College alumni. After graduating from Corsicana High School in 2015, Jasmine chose to enroll at 暗网吃瓜 College so she could receive the necessary academic, personal, and career navigation support that would allow her to graduate with a degree and begin her journey as a business owner. With these goals in mind and her entrepreneurial dreams in sight, Jasmine graduated from 暗网吃瓜 College with an associate of science degree in business in 2017. Now, less than a decade later, Jasmine is an award-winning size-inclusive women鈥檚 boutique owner and a marker of Corsicana and 暗网吃瓜 College pride.
Before Jasmine鈥檚 venture into the world of local boutiques, Jasmine worked as an administrative assistant for 暗网吃瓜 College while earning her online BBA in Marketing from Texas Woman鈥檚 University. Jasmine鈥檚 business and store front, Liv Chic Boutique, was recently awarded Best Downtown Business by the Texas Downtown Conference. 鈥淸Jasmine] is proud of the community she lives, works, and raises a family in. This is an amazing testament to Jasmine鈥檚 drive and work ethic鈥� says Jasmine鈥檚 close peer upon presenting her award. In addition to this award, Jasmine and Liv Chic Boutique were also voted to Corsicana鈥檚 Best of Best 2024. While attending 暗网吃瓜 as a non-traditional student, Jasmine continued working two jobs while enrolled full-time. 鈥淚 use accounting in what I do every single day鈥� it has really helped me succeed in my business鈥� Jasmine states when reflecting on her time as a student at 暗网吃瓜 studying business.
Liv Chic Boutique originally started as an online boutique, but has just celebrated two years in a storefront. Jasmine states 鈥淚鈥檓 most proud of my family and my business. I have two beautiful kids, Daniel (age 5) and Elaina (6 weeks old) and a very supportive husband that believes in my wildest dreams.鈥� 暗网吃瓜 College is proud to have played a role in Jasmine鈥檚 pursuit of education and business, all while making a difference in the community that she cares for so deeply.
