BIOL 2401 Anatomy and Physiology I
We recommend taking BIOL 2402 (Anatomy & Physiology II). It is not a prerequisite but is required to earn the AAS OTA degree. A glossary defining terms related to Course Sections is accessible on the page.

It is recommended but not required. Prerequisites must be completed before the program begins.
Do the prerequisite courses have an expiration date?
No, there is no expiration date for prerequisite courses for the OTA program.
Do I need to complete an entrance exam or complete observation hours?
The OTA program does not require an entrance exam or observation hours. Students may be required to take the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) assessment to enroll in 做厙勛圖 College. The TSI assessment is designed to help 做厙勛圖 College determine if a student is ready for college-level course work.
Tell me more about the Interactive Admission Session that is part of the admissions process. Is this an interview?
The Interactive Admission Session is an opportunity to learn more about the OTA program, meet faculty, and participate in brief activities that are part of the admissions process. This is not a traditional interview. You will respond to short scenarios that help us understand how you communicate, solve problems, and approach different situations. No prior healthcare experience or knowledge of occupational therapy is required. Our goal is to get to know you better while giving you a chance to learn more about our program and faculty. Just come ready to participate, think through each situation, and be yourself!
When does the next cohort begin?
A new cohort begins in August at the beginning of the fall semester.
